Personal experience:

I have this in blackest black and I love love LOVE it! I love the ingenious brush on this and the blackness of it isn't exaggerated when they say blackest black. The little bristles really work into the lashes giving you volume and length. I have nothing bad to say about it really except you need a steady hand when dealing with the bottom lashes other than that it's the perfect mascara and would like to see a waterproof version. I would definitely repurchase and hope other brands come out with a similar concept. I'd love to see how this will revolutionise the mascara world. Again, I LOVE THIS MASCARA and would recommend it to anyone. Who can count how many times I said love?

I have this in starry night blue and I love it! The shade of blue is just amazing, it glides on smoothly as a liner and you can even smudge it out as a base for your eyeshadows or even for a smokey effect. It's such a versatile product and for the price you can't really go wrong. I really want to try the other shades and I would definitely buy it again.

Avon Ideal Flawless Concealer Stick

This product came free with the eyeprimer and eyemakeup remover when I bought the Avon mega effects mascara. I got it in medium, it had a thick consistency and was quite chalky and exaggerated dry patches. I'd say moisturise well with this concealer especially for those with dry skin. It had okay coverage but wasn't excellent. It feels nice and glides well but would I repurchase? I don't think I would.

Avon Supershock Vivid Liquid Eye Shadow

Pros:

• Need to layer to get any type of coverage
• Rubs off very easily even once it has set

Personal experience:

I have to say I'm disappointed with this product. They're so watery that you can't get a decent coverage with it, you have to keep layering it on to be able to get a decent amount and to take a swatch I literally had to pour it on to my arm. I bought two of the shades, one in mauve/purple and antique bronze at £3 each on offer. It is not 'vivid' at all and I will not be repurchasing.

Personal experience:

I was given this primer as a gift when I bought the Mega Effects Mascara along with a concealer and an eye makeup remover. I'm not too sure about this primer, it works quite well with a simple neutral look but I don't think it would with a heavier eye makeup, I much prefer MAC's painterly and also with AVON's eyeshadow primer you have to be really quick with blending as it dries so fast. I've seen better packaging and have tried better eye primers and I don't think it's worth the price. Unfortunately, I will not be repurchasing.

Personal experience:

This product is a hydrating serum and is applied before moisturiser and should be a staple in any skin care routine. This serum retains moisture in the skin and must be used after toning and before applying moisturiser. This is perfect for dehydrated skin. It contains hyaluronic acid which is a hydration ingredient that can hold up to 1,000 times it's weight in water. You only need a small amount to apply over the face, the serum itself dries quite tacky but you'll see the difference after putting on your moisturiser and makes the perfect base altogether for your makeup. It is an amazing product which will last you quite a long time despite the small amount that's given and it's something that I would repurchase. I'd like to try Aveda's hydrating mask next which is a more intense version of this product.

Personal experience on both products:

I won't be repurchasing the Maybelline liner. I will, however, continue to use the MAC fluidline as it's the best I've used so far but I'll still be on the lookout for the ultimate liner. I think a waterproof liner is essential in any make-up artist's kit. 

The next gel liner I'd like to try is the Make Up Forever Waterproof Aqua Cream liner.

                                      

Laura Mercier foundation primer

Pros:

• Only a pea size amount is needed
• Allows the makeup to last quite long on the skin
• Not a semi-matte finish

• Non-comedogenic
• Classy, simple, fuss free packaging

• £28 for 50ml

Personal experience:

Although this primer is quite expensive, it is a perfect consistency for me, creamy, lightweight and lasted the whole night (5-8 hours). If used sparingly I would say that it could last you 9 months or longer. It is key in my kit especially for bridal makeup and I don't know if I'd repurchase another brand, we'll have to see if there's something out there that could top this primer. I would repurchase this product and I would love to try the radiance primer.
